Two years ago Steve and Chris bought La Peña which was well known for its live music, but, having received 10 fines for loud music they decided to stop the music and concentrate on the food side. The upstairs in La Pena has now been turned into a carvery restaurant open Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday lunch... The only carvery with choice of four meats and no limit to the amount of roast potatoes or yorkshire puddings.
Bar La Pena first opened in the 1880 we are now led to belive not the 1890 but whats ten years! It was the first bar to open in the port and was a club for the local fisher men to meet and the upstairs was a gambling den.
