US FILM GIANT PARAMOUNT CHOOSE MURCIA FOR THEME PARK
11.11.2010Now is the time to buy property in Mazarron, Murcia.
The US giant’s first European Theme Park is to be built at Alhama de Murcia in Mazarron and is expected to attract up to three million tourists each year when it is completed, this will have a significant impact on not only real estate prices and job prospects but rental income in the region.
Whilst Paramount Pictures will not be taking part as an investor in the project, they will give access to intellectual property from a vast library of films and provide branding, conceptual master planning and design for the project. The Company is responsible for many hundreds of household name films such as Grease, Crocodile Dundee, Wayne’s World, Forrest Gump, Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Lara Croft, Shrek and Transformers.
The Murcia region has spent millions on infrastructure with the new International Airport at Corvera scheduled to open in 2001 (25 minutes from Camposol) and the high speed rail links between Madrid and Murcia due to complete in the next couple of years makes this part of Spain easily accessible.
For investors there are still bargains to be had on the Camposol Golf complex and surrounding areas but I would suggest for those that are waiting for prices to drop further should act now as inevitably once building starts on the Theme Park prices will no doubt increase.
